The Walt Disney Studio Library
My research explores the history of the Walt Disney Studio Library, an invaluable resource established in the studio’s early days. It provided users, such as animators and designers, with reference materials that shaped many iconic films and characters. Through archival documents, oral histories, and rare resources, my work aims to highlight the library’s incredible behind-the-scenes contributions and lasting influence on Disney’s legacy.
Documenting & Preserving Disney History
Along with studying the Walt Disney Studio Library, I also research how Disney history is documented and preserved. This includes looking at the role of parks, libraries, archives, museums, historians, and fans, in keeping Disney’s legacy alive. I explore how artifacts, stories, and memories are collected, protected, and shared to celebrate Disney’s impact. My goal is to highlight the people and places working to keep Disney’s history alive for future generations to enjoy.
